Getting Started – Campaigns

Campaigns serve as the primary method for engaging with the application’s users. Within this section, you can configure the types of emails to be sent, what kind of scenarios or educations will be used and define the target recipients.

Types of Campaigns

There are seven types of campaigns: Phishing, Approval, Education, Survey, Automated, Quiz, and USB.

Phishing campaigns are the primary method for sending emails that simulate phishing attacks to users. Administrators have the option to include educational content and quizzes, which can be presented to users either immediately after they have been phished or at the end of the campaign.

Approval campaigns provide a streamlined method for companies to send agreements or similar documents to their users. This allows users to easily review and confirm their acceptance of the content sent by the administrators. Admins can also send educations regarding the approval content, either before or after the approval process takes place.

Education campaigns enable administrators to deliver interactive educational content to users. The application sends emails containing a link that redirects users to the designated educational material. After completing the education, administrators can choose to send a follow-up quiz to assess users’ understanding.

Survey campaigns are designed to gather feedback from users through various formats, including open-ended questions for personalized responses, multiple-choice questions, or linear scales where users can rate their answers within a defined range. Administrators also have the option to configure these surveys to ensure that user responses remain anonymous.

Automated campaigns function similarly to phishing campaigns, with the key distinction being that they are scheduled to start and end within a specified time frame. This allows for automatic execution of the campaign according to the designated schedule.

Quiz campaigns are designed to evaluate users through questions created by administrators. These quizzes can include multiple-choice or multiple-answer questions, offering a customized assessment of user knowledge. Admins can distribute Quiz campaigns via email, providing users with a link that redirects them to the quiz content.

Phishing campaigns are further categorized into six specific subtypes: Awareness, Data Entry, Vandalware, File Transfer, Attached Data Entry and Phish and Drop.

Attached Data Entry campaigns involve sending emails with an HTML attachment that users can download. Upon opening the attachment, users are redirected to a data entry page in their browser, where they are prompted to enter their credentials.

Phish and Drop campaigns combine some of the most common tactics used by attackers to deceive users into providing sensitive information, downloading malicious files, and clicking on harmful links. When users receive the campaign email, they will find a link that directs them to a data entry page. After successfully entering their sensitive information, a file download will be triggered. If users click the link within the downloaded file, they will be redirected to a landing page.
