Synchronize Users From LDAP

For detailed LDAP settings, please go to [appropriate section or link].
Users can be imported into the PhishPro application via LDAP using two methods. The first method is “Import users from existing LDAP groups”. With this option, all Organizational Units (OU) within LDAP are displayed, and the desired unit can be imported into the application.
The second method, “Create custom LDAP group using query,” is used to create a single group from users located in different organizational units with varying attribute values.

  • Here is an example query for creating a custom LDAP group:
    “(&(objectClass=user)(|(ou=test1)(manager=beta)(ou=test2)(manager=alpha)))”

You can view the group you created by navigating to the Users > Groups screen from the menu on the left side.

LDAP Synchronization From Settings

By activating the option indicated in the visual, you can update the desired LDAP groups.

Synchronization processes can be applied to LDAP groups imported into the application. Synchronization updates both custom query groups and the selected Organizational Units (OUs).

Explicit Synchronize, The users to be imported are displayed as a list. This list consists of the following sections: Create, Update, Deleted, Whitelist, and Domain Error.

When Silent Synchronization is applied, the imported users are not displayed as shown in the visual. However, you can still see the number of users that have been imported.Silent Synchorinize, The list of users to be imported is not displayed.

Auto LDAP Synchronization from Settings

To automatically synchronize LDAP users, the “Enable Auto-sync” feature under Settings > LDAP must be enabled.

Under the LDAP Synchronization section, previously imported groups or LDAP queries are listed. The groups that you want to synchronize should be activated here. With this configuration, the selected groups will be synchronized daily.
